I’m Dr. Christina L. Migliara.

Dr. Migliara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy specialist in the states of New York and Florida, whose qualifications include a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional,  National Master Addictions Counselor, New York Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Florida Certified Addictions Professional, Florida State Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Mental Health Neutral in the Collaborative Divorce Process.

Being a wife and mother of two growing boys, owner of multiple businesses, and finding time for her own mental and physical selfcare, she has a deep understanding of what it takes to balance these roles, while scheduling time and taking care to remember it’s important to still fulfill your life’s potential through maintaining good mental and physical health.  Dr. Migliara has always been passionate about helping others to regain charge of their life, guiding individual clients and families even in the toughest times.

Dr. Migliara believes that movement is a major part of the healing process. In addition to being a mental health professional, she is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and a USAW Level 1 Coach. She stays very active at CrossFit Tailwinds, the gym she owns within The Elite Wellness Center and encourages her clients to get out and move.

True wellness is taking care of more than just mental health which is why Dr. Migliara practices at the Elite Wellness Center, a place where individually owned and operated working professionals provide wellness services for a one-stop shop opportunity.  As a result, she has a high standard of practice, which in turn allows her clients to get the best quality of personalized service.

Dr. Migliara began her journey with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Psychology.  After graduation she moved to New York where she completed her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and earning a Doctorate in Psychology from Capella University.  Working in the mental health field over the past 20 years, her practice expanded to include working in inpatient and out-patient addiction facilities, non for profit organizations, private practice, and Department head of Psychology in higher education.
